When will TRS govt deliver its poll promise of giving 2-BHK houses to the homeless: Telangana Congress leader | Hyderabad News

HYDERABAD: Congress legislature party leader Bhatti Vikramarka on Friday sought to ask chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao when will the TRS government deliver its promise of giving 2-BHK housing units to every homeless poor.
Responding to the grievances pouring in against the TRS and BJP governments from the people during his pada yatra, Bhatti said chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had actually promised 2BHK-units to all the homeless poor during the election campaign for 2014-polls, later diluted it stating Rs five lakh financial assistance would be given to those having house site and is now singing a different tune stating Rs three lakh financial assistance would be given to the people having house sites.
“Do we need this TRS government which neither gives you 2-BHK housing units nor house sites or even Rs five lakh financial assistance to the homeless poor,” Bhatti told a gathering during his 21st day pada yatra in Bonakal mandal of Madhira Assembly Constituency in Khammam district on Friday.
A large number of people submitted representations to Bhatti seeking 2-BHK houses, house sites and financial assistance for construction of houses, construction of a road between Govindapuram (A) village and Motamarri village and submitted various other problems being faced by them.
Bhatti promised them to solve their problems either by compelling the TRS government to attend to them or implementing it when the Congress comes to power.
He accused BJP state president Bandi Sanjay of resuming his pada yatra with the objective of ending secularism and freedom of speech from the State. ” Is Bandi Sanjay holding a pada yatra out of joy that the Narendra Modi-led BJP government has increased the prices of cooking gas, Diesl, Petrol and other essential commodities,” he asked and appealed to the people to defeat the TRS and BJP in the Assembly and Parliament elections.
