Chhattisgarh-Telangana border youth shine in police-organized volleyball tournament | Hyderabad News
HYDERABAD: Around 50 youngsters from the LWE-affected villages of Chhattisgarh, located on the interstate Chhattisgarh-Telangana border, took part in the volleyball tournament organised by Bhadradri Kothagudem district police and CRPF in Cherla.
A total of 56 teams participated in the three-day event.

The event was organised in an attempt to sensitise the youths from the LWE-affected areas and build a connection with them to inform them about the effects of LWE activities and the welfare activities taken up by the govt in the LWE-affected areas.
Distributing trophies to the winners, District SP Rohit Raju expressed hope that the youth from agency areas would reach national levels in sports, bringing a good name to the region, district, and state.

The idea of the district police department is the development and welfare of the tribal people living in remote agency areas, and efforts are being made to provide education, healthcare, and transportation facilities to the people in these areas, he said.
This event was also organised as a part of the outreach activities taken up by the cops.
