Tension grips Andhra Pradesh’s Tadipatri after attack on JC Prabhakar Reddy’s close aide | Amaravati News
TIRUPATI: Tension has gripped the Tadipatri assembly constituency in Anantapur district on Andhra Pradesh following the attack on a close aide of former TDP MLA JC Prabhakar Reddy in the late hours on Sunday.
According to information, Gandikota Karthik, the TDP town in-charge for Tadipatri, was returning home after completing his official work in the late hours on Sunday.
Some unidentified miscreants waylaid Karthik and indiscriminately attacked him using sticks and knives in a bid to kill him.
Gandikota Karthik who managed to survive the attack, was rushed to a local hospital at Tadipatri first and was later shifted to a hospital at Anantapur for better medical care.
Police have stepped up vigil sensing possible retaliation by the TDP activists.
