Telangana sees 190 fresh Covid infections | Hyderabad News
HYDERABAD: Telangana recorded 190 new cases of Covid-19 on Tuesday, even as new cases in 30 districts were recorded. The number of active cases stood at 1,738. Of the new cases 82 were recorded in Hyderabad district while 11 were recorded in Medchal Malkajgiri and 14 were recorded in Ranga Reddy.
The total number of cases so far in the state stood at 8,34,333. Total recoveries stood at 8,28,484 with 376 recoveries on Tuesday. The current positivity rate is 1.1 percent, while the recovery rate stands at 99.30. The death toll stands at 4,111, as no new deaths was recorded.
On Tuesday, a total of 14,499 samples were tested. Telangana has now completed testing 3.73 crore samples and has reached 10 lakh sample testing per million population.
Meanwhile, in view of the surge in cases seen in the last fortnight, children less than 10 years of age, elders above 60 years of age and people with comorbid conditions have been asked to stay indoors.
