Telangana ministers should speak about their state, Andhra Pradesh is way ahead: Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy | Amaravati News
AMARAVATI: Taking strong objection to the Telangana minister KTR’s remarks, state government advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy has observed that it would be better for public representatives to first speak about the development in their own state. He said that it was unwise to make baseless comments against the neighbouring states.
Sajjala said that division of assets worth over Rs 50,000 to Rs 60,000 crore between AP and Telangana was not completed leaving AP in a disadvantageous position. He said that the state was bifurcated without establishing the capital city for AP.
“Several major development projects including international airport and PVNR express highway were developed in Hyderabad during the YSR regime in undivided AP. Hyderabad was developed with the tax monies of entire Telugu people from both the states,” said Sajjala.
He, however, said that they have never tried to politicize the issues of Telangana as they have set their focus on the development of AP.
He said that AP did not see any development during the first five-years of bifurcation under TDP rule resulting in more complications. He said that the roads were badly damaged due to the heavy floods in the last two-three years.
He explained that they have already taken up major repairs to the roads and initiated massive development of several state and NHs. He said that KTR should keep in mind that Telangana too faced power cuts till recently.
He said that AP is witnessing rapid development under the leadership of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. He said that AP stood way ahead of other states in implementation of welfare schemes in the country.
He said that AP has become a role model in strengthening the health and education sectors under YS Jagan’s leadership. “AP’s growth rate on social scale and development scale is much better than many states despite the odds created by the previous regime and unscientific bifurcation,” said Sajjala.
