Telangana Job Notification 2022: Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao announces 91,142 govt jobs, new recruitment policy | Hyderabad News
HYDERABAD: Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Wednesday announced that 91,142 vacancies will be filled up in the government sector with over 95 per cent of these jobs going to locals from Telangana.
He also announced a new recruitment policy for Telangana stating vacancies arising in every department will be notified every year and filled up by coming out with an annual recruitment calendar.
“Maximum age limit to be eligible for these jobs in all the departments except the police is being raised by 10 years due to the delay in taking up recruitment process,” said KCR.
The CM blamed the disputes raised by Andhra Pradesh and an anti-Telangana BJP government at the centre for delay in the recruitment process.
Reading out a statement from the floor of the assembly on the second of the budget session, the CM also announced that the services of 11,103 contract employees will be regularised by giving them an equal number of posts from among the 91,142 posts.
The process of issuing notifications for recruitments to these posts will commence from Wednesday.
The state government will incur Rs 7,300 crore expenditure per annum towards salaries and other expenses on account of filling up these posts.
Students and unemployed youth started bursting crackers and playing an early Holi in universities and other places in the state immediately after the CM’s announcement on job notifications.
The chief minister also made it a point to state that the 91142 jobs to be filled up, are in addition to 1.33 lakh vacancies already filled up by the TRS government in the last few years.
Another 22,000 posts which are in the process of being filled up in tune with the notifications issued earlier are also in addition to 91,142 vacancies to be filled up.
KCR explained the pain and hard work which went behind in achieving the Presidential order to ensure that Telangana locals get 95 per cent jobs and sought to tell the youth not to get carried away by vicious campaigns of opposition parties and these are all the total vacancies available in the government as on date.
