Telangana: Covid-19 cases cross 1,000-mark after 5 months | Hyderabad News

HYDERABAD: Telangana recorded 1,054 new cases of Covid-19 on Tuesday crossing the 1,000 mark for the first time in the last five months as new cases in 15 districts continued to surge. The number of active cases stood at 5,992.
Of the new cases, 396 were recorded in the Hyderabad district alone while 60 were recorded in Medchal Malkajgiri and 60 in Rangareddy. Other districts witnessing a surge in cases include Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Karimnagar, Nalgonda, Sangareddy, Pedapalli and Hanumakonda.
Total recoveries stood at 8,11,568 with 795 recoveries on Tuesday. The current positivity rate is 2.4%, while the recovery rate stands at 98.77%. No new deaths were recorded.
