Telangana clocks 990 new Covid cases | Hyderabad News

HYDERABAD: Telangana recorded 992 new cases of Covid-19 on Wednesday, even as new cases in 20 districts continued to surge. The number of active cases stood at 6,132.
Of the new cases, 376 were recorded in the Hyderabad district alone while 54 were recorded in Medchal Malkajgiri and 65 in Ranga Reddy. Other districts witnessing a surge in cases include Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Karimnagar, Nalgonda, Sangareddy, Pedapalli and Hanumakonda.
Total recoveries stood at 8,12,420 with 852 recoveries on Wednesday. The current positivity rate is 2.4%, while the recovery rate is at 98.75%. The death toll stands at 4,111, as no new deaths was recorded.
