HYDERABAD: The Telangana BJP has launched a website claiming the ruling TRS will remain in power for just 529 days and BJP will come into power. The countdown clock “Salu Dora—Selavu Dora (Enough sir—Goodbye Sir)” was launched by BJP national general secretary and state incharge Tarun Chugh.
The digital clock would be set up in every BJP office in the state to remind the government but also to dethrone the government in the next assembly elections.
Addressing a press conference after the launch of the website and digital clock on Saturday, the general secretary said that the saffron party would go to every village and expose the corrupt and family rule by chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. He said the TRS government had failed in every sector and the party was ready for an open debate on eight years rule of the TRS. “My party’s state chief will come for the debate, the TRS can tell the time and place,” he said.
Tarun Chugh said though the Centre had reduced VAT on fuel, KCR did not reduce the VAT in the state. Every state had reduced the VAT on fuel to give relief to the common man except Telangana, he said.
“Those who fought and sacrificed their lives for the separate Telangana are now feeling cheated by KCR. Those who worked hard against the Telangana movement, were given posts. Even some TRS leaders also told me this personally. Every section of the people is unhappy with KCR and waiting for the opportunity to say goodbye to the TRS. KCR is in Kumbhakarna sleep,” the BJP state incharge alleged.
On the arrangements being made for the BJP national executive committee meeting to be held in the city, Tarun Chugh said Modi’s public meeting on July 3 would be a historic and turning point in the state. He said the party was ready to face the assembly elections in the state.
