TDP encouraged BCs in all sectors: Chandrababu Naidu | Visakhapatnam News
VIZIANAGARAM: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national president Nara Chandrababu Naidu promised to implement a special plan for the uplift of the backward classes (BCs) by formulating an empowerment committee and doing justice to them once the TDP is back in power.
He asked the BC communities, who are 50% of the population, to evaluate the radical changes that they experienced before and after the TDP was founded.
In close interaction with the members of the BC communities at Rajam in Vizianagaram district of Andhra Pradesh on Friday, the former CM felt that there is a vast change in the BC community, both socially and politically, after the inception of the TDP.
Naidu said that the liquor shops are owned by the government now and he promised to allocate 20 per cent of liquor shops to the toddy-tapper community once the TDP comes into power.
The financial situation of the state is so bad that funds are not allocated for any welfare schemes for the BCs, he alleged.
He said that the leaders such as Ayyannapatrudu, Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, KE Krishna Murthy, and Devender Goud, besides many others, were promoted politically and the BC Commission was set up during the tenure of the TDP founder president NTR. Special schemes have been launched by the TDP for the progress of BCs, he said.
Naidu said that almost all the BC communities are very badly affected by the YSRCP government.
He assured the 140 communities of BCs that the TDP would come to their rescue after coming into power.
“Why is the MP Vijayasai Reddy and government advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy bossing over the north Andhra people? Who are these leaders to do politics here and why Botsa or Dharmana Prasada Rao is not questioning them,” asked Chandra Babu Naidu.
Observing that there is no employment in north Andhra now and agriculture has been completely ruined after the YSRCP came to power, Naidu said false cases are being foisted against TDP leaders.
