Tata Power Share Price: Tata Power shares up 1.61% as Sensex rises

The stock opened at Rs 97.45 and has touched an intraday high and low of Rs 98.2 and Rs 96.6 during the session so far. The counter quoted a price-to-earnings (PE) ratio of 27.53, earnings per share (EPS) of Rs 3.56 and price to book value (PB) of 0.49, while the return on equity (ROE) stood at Rs 5.63.

The promoters held 46.86 per cent stake in the company as of April 27, while FII and MF ownerships stood at 12.17 per cent and 8.83 per cent, respectively.

For the quarter ended 31-Dec-2020, the company reported consolidated sales of Rs 7702.84 crore, down 8.75 per cent from the previous quarter?s Rs 8441.6 crore and down 7.94 per cent from the same quarter a year ago. The company reported net profit of Rs 248.21 crore for the latest quarter, up 38.77 per cent from the corresponding quarter last year.
