share market: Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Shares of Vikas Ecotech (number of shares traded: 2.92 crore), Vikas Multicorp (number of shares traded: 2.65 crore), NMDC (number of shares traded: 2.22 crore), JP Power (number of shares traded: 1.82 crore), Suzlon Energy (number of shares traded: 1.32 crore), Vodafone Idea (number of shares traded: 1.22 crore), Uttam Galva Stl (number of shares traded: 1.21 crore), Ibull Housing Fin (number of shares traded: 1.00 crore), Tata Power (number of shares traded: 0.86 crore) and Reliance Comm (number of shares traded: 0.83 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:05AM in Wednesday’s session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 35.45 points down at 15776.9, while BSE Sensex was down 109.51 points at 52660.22 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Tech Mahindra Ltd. (up 2.00 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (up 1.15 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd. (up 0.92 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (up 0.87 per cent) and NTPC Ltd. (up 0.67 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While UPL Ltd. (down 1.40 per cent), Nestle India Ltd. (down 0.88 per cent), Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd. (down 0.85 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (down 0.84 per cent) and Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (down 0.81 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
