The 80th Golden Globes are kickstarting Hollywood’s award season with a ceremony in Los Angeles hosted by comedian Jerrod Carmichael. RRR, directed by SS Rajamouli, is competing in two categories at the awards – Best Non-English Feature Film and Best Original Song for Naatu Naatu. RRR, starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan as real-life freedom fighters Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitaramaraju, is the first Indian film to be nominated at the awards, among Hollywood’s most prestigious. Director Rajamouli, Jr NTR and Ram Charan with wide Upasana Kamineni are attending the Golden Globes. Apart from RRR, other notable nominees as the films The Banshees Of Inisherin and Everything Everywhere All At Once which have 6 and 5 nominations each. Abbott Elementary leads the slate of TV nods with 5 nominations while The Crown, The White Lotus, Only Murders In The Building, Pam & Tommy and Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story have 4 nominations each.

It’s RRR‘s big day. SS Rajamouli’s period blockbuster is at the Golden Globes being held in Los Angeles, the first Indian film to be nominated at the awards. RRR is competing for Best Non-English Language Film and Best Original Song for Naatu Naatu
