Narrow escape for 30 passengers in TSRTC bus accident in Andhra Pradesh | Amaravati News
TIRUPATI: It was a close shave for the 30 odd passengers on board a TSRTC bus which hit the parapet wall and came to a grinding halt on the Srisailam ghat road on Sunday.
According to the local police, the driver of the TSRTC bus heading to Mahabubnagar in Telangana from Srisailam, lost control of the vehicle while maneuvering a hairpin bend near the Srisailam project and rammed into the parapet wall.
Though the parapet wall collapsed after being hit by the TSRTC bus, the iron railing helped stop the bus from falling into a deep gorge and the passengers in the bus who heaped a big sigh of relief, got off the bus immediately to safety.
Local police who reached the spot later, brought the bus back on to the ghat road and cleared the traffic. Police said no injuries were reported in the mishap.
