HYDERABAD: Telangana minister KT Rama Rao slapped legal notice on Telangana BJP state president Bandi Sanjay on Friday demanding an unconditional apology to him for making derogatory remarks against him.
KTR, who is also working president of TRS, sent legal notices through his lawyer on Friday. He also threatened to file a defamation case against him, if he does not apologize for his allegations within 48 hours.
Bandi Sanjay earlier made allegations against KTR saying the minister was responsible for 27 intermediate students ‘suicides in the state a few years ago and said chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao did not even console the families of the students.
Reacting to the allegations, the TRS working president on Thursday earlier demanded an apology from Sanjay on twitter and even said he would take legal action against him. He also said if he has any proof of his allegations, he can put them in the public domain also.
The notices were sent to Sanjay to his party office at Nampally on Friday. The minister alleged that Sanjay was making baseless allegations against him for getting popularity.
In the notices, KTR’s lawyer said his client (KTR) is a political and public figure and presently working as minister. “He worked as strived to work towards the welfare of the people of state and has won several awards and accolades including Best performing IT minister and the Skoch Challenger of the Year award,” the notice said.
