jubilee hills: Police Conduct Potency Test On Jubilee Hills Gang Rape Accused | Hyderabad News
HYDERABAD: Police officials conducted out potency test on the only major accused and five juveniles in the Jubilee Hills minor gang rape case. The test was performed at Osmania General Hospital (OGH) on the five accused while they were in police custody on Saturday.
While tests were not conducted on another minor accused, who was accused of outraging the modesty of the woman.
Potency test is a key medical test in the investigation as the test establishes whether a person is capable of engaging in sexual acts or not.
After the potency test, the four accused were shifted to Jubilee Hills police station for questioning. Two other minors were not questioned as the potency test was conducted till 5.30 pm. As per the court orders, the minors should be sent to juvenile home by 5.30 pm after questioning. They will be picked up again the next day for questioning.
It is learnt that police questioned the accused about the sequence of events on the day of offence. “We will corroborate their statements. We were trying to find out how they befriended the minor girl? Who came up with the plan to execute the heinous act and who helped them while they were on run. There was not much time on Saturday to ask too many questions. We will get more details in the coming few days,” said an investigator.
Meanwhile, the four-day custody of 18-year-old will be completed on Sunday. Following the interrogation, police are planning to request the court to hold identification parade, so that the survivor can identify the accused who have committed the offence.
