Jagga Reddy decides to work for Congress’s victory after meeting Rahul Gandhi | Hyderabad News

HYDERABAD: Telangana Congress working president and MLA T Jayaprakash Reddy has decided to let bygones be bygones and would work to strengthen the “Congress family” and bring the party to power in Telangana.
Jagga Reddy along with his wife, daughter and son met Congress MP Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi on Wednesday. Speaking to media persons after the meeting, he said Rahul Gandhi has told him that the party was like a family and everyone should work unitedly to bring the party to power in the state as well as centre.
Jagga Reddy had threatened to resign from the Congress in protest against TPCC president A Revanth Reddy’s one-man show of politics ignoring the seniors. He had also announced that he would launch a new political party and would not join either TRS or BJP. However, he projected himself as a changed man after meeting Rahul Gandhi.
“Here after, I have decided not to go public with my critical views on party leadership or any one else in the party. I have great respect for the Nehru-Gandhi family. We were fortunate to have been given time by Rahul Gandhi. I will set aside my differences with some of the party leaders and we will all work as a family,” he said.
TPCC working president Mahesh Kumar Goud along with his son too met Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday.
