In Telangana, 4 lensmen on way to do photoshoot killed in car crash | Hyderabad News


HYDERABAD: Four photographers died and their friend suffered injuries when their car was hit by a truck in Yellandu town in Bhadradri Kothagudem district on Friday night.
According to Yellandu police, the accident occurred when the five photographers were heading towards Mothugudem in AP’s East Godavari district from Kamalapur to do a photoshoot of a sari function.
The deceased have been identified as B Aravind, 21, and B Ramu, 32, of Kamalapur and their associates, K Shivakoti, 31 and O Kalyan, 28, of Narsapur. Kranthi of Narsampeta suffered severe injuries. “Kranthi’s condition is critical and he was shifted from Yellandu to Khammam and from there to a hospital in Hyderabad for better treatment,” police said.
Kalyan was at the wheel at the time of the accident. The car in which the deceased were travelling was badly mangled under the impact of the collision. Immediately after crashing his truck into the car, truck driver abandoned the vehicle and fled from the spot. Police have launched a manhunt to nab him.
Aravind along with Ramu set out in their car from Kamalapur and picked up the others from Narsampeta on Friday evening.
At 10 pm when they reached Kotilingala crossroads on Yellandu-Mahabubabad Road, the truck coming in the opposite direction rammed the car at a curve, Yellandu inspector B Raju said. Kalyan, Ramu and Shivakoti died on the spot.
Aravind and Kranthi were taken to Yellandu government hospital where Aravind succumbed to his injuries in the early hours of Saturday.
A case under sections 304-A (causing death by negligence) and 337 (Causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others) of the IPC was registered.
