Hyderabad: Cop Bikshapathi suspended for his role in gambling | Hyderabad News
HYDERABAD: For allegedly being in connivance with gambling organisers, Sultan Bazar inspector Bikshapathi was placed under suspension on Thursday.
This was informed by Hyderabad police following a review meeting held by Hyderabad police commissioner CV Anand. During this meeting, different aspects including the health condition of policemen in Hyderabad were reviewed. The lower rung officials were informed to make sure organised crimes like gaming, hookah and others should be curbed.
Meanwhile, Hyderabad police said in a press note that, “A brief health survey of all police stations in the West Zone revealed that almost 60% of the staff are suffering from either diabetes or high BP or other lifestyle diseases. Their Body Mass Index (BMI) is beyond reasonable limits. ”
