Every place of worship will come up in new Telangana secretariat complex, says minister K T Rama Rao | Hyderabad News
HYDERABAD: TRS working president and municipal minister K T Rama Rao on Sunday sought to assure all the people that places of religious worship including temple, mosque and church would be constructed in the new secretariat campus.
Responding to a tweet from Prashant Yadav who asked what is the status of construction of a temple in the secretariat, KTR replied: “Mandir bhi banega, masjid bhi banega aur church bhi Banega! Aap Befikar Rahiye. This is Telangana under the leadership of KCR who respects all faiths equally and doesn’t indulge in politics in the guise of religion,” KTR stated in his tweet.
A temple and two mosques were razed after they accidentally suffered damages during the demolition of old secretariat buildings. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao promised to construct not only a new temple and mosques but also a church along with the construction of a new secretariat building.
Later during the day, KTR inspected the arrangements being made at HICC premises near Hitec city where TRS party plenary will be held on April 27. He appealed to the TRS members and cadres not to throng the plenary venue as only those who are extended with invitations will be attending it.
About 3,000 TRS leaders will be invited. The TRS cadres should raise party flags in rural and urban areas on April 27 to celebrate the plenary and TRS party foundation day celebrations, he said.
KTR said the foundation day celebrations will reflect Telangana’s self-respect and the plenary will adopt resolutions to take Telangana further forward on the path of development and progress.
Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will hoist the party flag marking the commencement of the plenary followed by his speech and introduction of resolutions. The meeting will debate these resolutions and adopt them. The plenary assumes significance in view of the talk of an early Assembly election.
KTR asked the party cadre to celebrate the foundation day by hoisting TRS flags in every town and every village. TRS village presidents will hoist the party flag in all 12,769 villages. There will be flag-hoisting in 3,600 towns
