Dow Jones shares: Dow Jones opens lower ahead of Powell, Yellen testimonies
The S&P 500 and the Dow edged lower at open on Tuesday as energy and travel stocks slipped, while investors awaited remarks from Fed Chair Jerome Powell and Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen for clues on the health of the economy.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 54.7 points, or 0.17%, at the open to 32,676.46. The S&P 500 fell 6.0 points, or 0.16%, at the open to 3,934.44, while the Nasdaq Composite fell 13.9 points, or 0.10%, to 13,363.84 at the opening bell.
