After two years of pandemic lull, Charminar’s raat bazaar is buzzing again this Ramzan. As Eid approaches, the festive vibe around the iconic monument is palpable as scores of Hyderabadis are heading out to shop, eat, pray and celebrate.
A walk around Charminar at night will treat you to a range of varied sights and sounds — from women bargaining for the best deals at Chudi Bazar’s bangle shops to parents indulging their lil’ ones with plastic toys from street hawkers; from kids gleefully licking their ice cream sticks to college-goers sipping on faloodas!

Unlike the last couple of years when there were lockdowns and night curfews during this time of the year, Charminar is buzzing with a festive vibe once again this Ramzan. Visit the Mecca Masjid for a moment of calm, get bedazzled by the neon lights and colours, savour the kebabs and haleem, freeze some classic Hyderabad frames on your phone, or simply take a stroll to soak it all up.
