HYDERABAD: As part of a special drive, city traffic police booked 4,280 car owners during the past one week for fixing black film on window glass.
Police launched the special drive after a recent accident in which a toddler lost his life and five others sustained injuries at Road No 45. in Jubilee Hills.
The SUV which was involved in this accident had tinted glasses in violation of MV Act that attracts 1,000 penalty.
Cops also booked cases against 9,387 vehicle owners for using irregular number plates and 3,270 cases were booked against vehicles causing sound pollution with altered silencers.
