BJP will create history in Telangana, claims Komatireddy Raj Gopal | Hyderabad News
HYDERABAD: Former MLA Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy has expressed confidence that the BJP will win the Munugode bye-election. He said the bypoll could be held either in October or November.
In an interview with TOI, he said: “Many people are saying many things about my decision to quit as an MLA. But, the BJP will create history in Telangana, paving the way for the ouster of TRS from the state.”
He said they are confident of winning the coming elections. “CM K Chandrasekhar Rao knows about this. He will get the surveys done and if he is convinced that the BJP is racing ahead, he would not even go for Munugode bye-election, but may go for an early assembly election,” he said.
According to Raj Gopal, the TRS’s defeat in the bye-election will also determine the state’s future. “Ideologues were ignored, no promises were kept and I had to resign due to lack of development in my constituency. I have taken this brave decision to show the CM his place,” he said.
Raj Gopal said he wanted to interact with his supporters and rank and file in the constituency for a longer period of time. But, he was forced to resign due to a constant misinformation campaign against him on social media.
He lambasted Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee chief A Revanth Reddy saying: “After this bye-election, I will make sure that his political career ends. He is an outcast in politics.” He said the entire Munugode people support him.
Asked about his brother Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, he said: “I hope he will take the right decision at the right time. Things are changing in Telangana.”
