BJP MPs failed to ensure justice for Telangana in Union Budget 2022-23: Cong leader Jagga Reddy | Hyderabad News
HYDERABAD: The Congress has accused the four BJP MPs including a union minister in G Kishan Reddy and state president in Bandi Sanjay of utter failing to impress upon their BJP government at the centre to allocate funds and projects to Telangana in the Union Budget 2022-23.
Telangana Congress working president and MLA T Jayaprakash Jagga Reddy on Wednesday said the Narendra Modi government has drastically reduced the budget for even the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme which provides employment to the poor and middle class sections of the society.
“There are four MPs from the BJP in Telangana including a union minister and a state president of the national party. They have failed to ensure that justice is done to the Telugu state in the Union Budget 2022-23. Bandi Sanjay keeps praising the Modi-government almost daily. He should give an explanation to the people of Telangana for Centre meting out a raw deal to the Telugu state in the budget,” Jagga Reddy demanded.
Referring to chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s comments against the Modi-led BJP government at the centre, Jagga Reddy said KCR-led TRS had supported the saffron party on GST, demonetization and other issues and is now trying to fire at the Congress using BJP’s shoulder.
Also, KCR should not have made comments against the Constitution drafted by Br Ambedkar. “KCR should remember that he himself had praised Ambedkar-drafted Constitutional provisions as becoming crucial to get statehood to Telangana,” Jagga Reddy said.
Telangana Congress senior vice president and Dalit leader Mallu Ravi too found fault with CM KCR for his comments on the Constitutional. “KCR is mistaken that Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre has done injustice to Telangana because of certain provisions of the constitution. No, the Centre’s injustice to Telangana is purely because of CM KCR’s mishandling and tacit understanding with the BJP government. Is KCR against the constitution written by B R Ambedkar, he asked?
