Bandi Sanjay should bring Central funds for temples in Telangana: Congress MLA Jagga Reddy | Hyderabad News

HYDERABAD: Telangana Congress working president and Sanga Reddy MLA T Jayaprakash Jagga Reddy on Monday said BJP state president Bandi Sanjay should explain to the people of Telangana how many Central funds he has brought for development of Shiva temples in the state.
“Issuing provocative statements like Bandi Sanjay did, stating that all mosques should be dug up only reflect the bankruptcy of the ideas and agenda in the BJP party and its state president to go to the people with various issues plaguing them,” Jagga Reddy said.
He appealed to the people of Telangana to realise why chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao led-TRS government is not taking any action against Bandi Sanjay for his provocative statements. Is this not a clear case of TRS and BJP having a tacit understanding, asked Jagga Reddy?
Stating that there are hundreds of Shiva temples built during the rule of Kakatiyas in the state, the Congress leader said that the BJP state president did not bring a single paisa Central fund for the development of the historic Shiva temples.
” There is a thousand year old Shiva temple in Kalpakur village of Sanga Reddy. Bandi Sanjay should stop digging statements and bring Central funds for development of this historic temple. I will submit a list of historic temples in telangana to the state BJP leaders if they are really interested in the development of temples,” he said.
Jagga Reddy threw a challenge at Bandi Sanjay to bring 20 crore Central funds for development of the historic temple in Sanga Reddy. Union minister G Kishan Reddy should use his good offices and bring Central funds for development of temples in Telangana, he demanded.
” I am expecting the BJP state leaders will bring Central funds at least for the development of temples as the saffron party has failed to deposit Rs 15 lakh each into the bank accounts of the poor and give two crore jobs every year to the youth,” Jagga Reddy added.
