Attention! If any mistake in PAN card, then you have to pay a fine of Rs 10,000

If anybody is having more than one PAN, then they will be fined Rs 10,000 under the Income Tax Act 1961. If you have more than one PAN card by mistake, then you have to surrender a PAN card immediately.
Do you know that PAN is a unique number and the PAN of two people or two companies cannot be the same. If someone gets two PAN cards, then strict legal action can be taken against them. If someone has more than one PAN, then he can be fined Rs 10,000 under the Income Tax Act 1961.
How to surrender your extra PAN card?
Individuals can submit extra PAN online or submit the form offline. One can download the form from the link that says “Request For New PAN Card Or/ And Changes Or Correction in PAN Data” on the official NSDL website and submit at any of the NSDL offices.
Individuals need to fill and submit the PAN Change Request application form by mentioning the PAN on top of the form which they are currently using. While all other PAN/s should be mentioned at item no. 11 of the form.
