Agnipath is an attempt to privatise armed forces: Congress MP Revanth Reddy | Hyderabad News
HYDERABAD: The Congress has charged the BJP government at the Centre of trying to bring privatisation even in the armed forces of the country through the Agnipath job scheme.
Congress MPs from Telangana A Revanth Reddy, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and N Uttam Kumar Reddy and other leaders participated in Satyagraha at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on Monday.
They alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government is trying to give on a platter every contract and project to its friends in the corporate sector. Even Agnipath is part of Modi-government’s privatisation plans, alleged Revanth.
The Congress MP sought to assure the youth that the Congress will stand by them and would continue the protest until the ill-conceived Agnipath scheme is withdrawn. The Congress MPs will oppose the Agnipath scheme even in the ensuing session of the Parliament.
Stating that the BJP government is harassing and trying to intimidate Rahul Gandhi by misusing the Enforcement Directorate. Neither Rahul Gandhi nor other members of Gandhi family and Congress party will get intimidated by vendetta politics of the BJP government.
The Congress-led by Rahul Gandhi will continue to raise the issues and problems being faced by the people and seek their solution.
