Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled visit to Telangana on January 19 has been postponed. BJP state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar said the PM visit’s new dates will be announced soon.
Sources said the PM is likely to visit the state in February now. BJP nor the central government has given any reason for the postponement of the visit.
Sources said the PM’s tight schedule in Karnataka on January 19 could have been one of the reasons for postponing the visit.
“He was to land in Telangana on the same day after winding up his engagements in Karnataka. Perhaps, his presence in Karnataka has been prolonged.,” a senior BJP leader said.
Sources said the PM is likely to visit the state in February now. BJP nor the central government has given any reason for the postponement of the visit.
