After Nitish Kumar, BJP’s focus on Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao at party vistarak meet | Hyderabad News
A similar situation is likely to pan out at the key parliamentary vistarak meetings in Hyderabad on Wednesday and Thursday as BJP is set to target chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who is trying to make forays into other states after floating Bharat Rashtra Samiti.

The meetings also have a lot of importance attached to them in the midst of an ongoing slugfest between BRS and BJP over the Poachgate case which has now been handed over to CBI by Telangana high court. Party national general secretary (organisation) BL Santhosh, who came under the radar of Telangana police for his alleged role in the Poachgate case, will attend the meeting on December 29.
But, the party is keeping Santhosh’s programme schedule under wraps. “This meeting is purely organisational in nature and hence, many details are kept confidential,” party sources said. Telangana affairs in charges – Sunil Bansal and Tarun Chugh – and senior leaders will attend the meeting on Wednesday along with party Telangana chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar.
The saffron party appears to be picky about the meeting locations as it believes sending a strong message among the leaders and workers is far more important. BJP sees Telangana as the gateway to capture the south and Wednesday’s vistarak meeting will mainly focus on strengthening its show in Lok Sabha seats where the party had never won.
Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra, Goa, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Telangana along with Union territory of Puducherry will be debated where the party is either weak or has never won. A senior party leader said: “The agenda for the meeting is how to coordinate better and improve the candidates’ winning chances.”
