3 Held For Forcing Minors To Strip | Hyderabad News

HYDERABAD: Mangalhat police booked a case against three men in their early twenties for physically assaulting a group of minor boys after forcing them to strip for playing cards near a water tank. While there was speculation that one of the accused is associated with a city-based MLA, police said that there was no truth in such claims.
The incident came to light after the video of the assault went viral on social media. According to police, last Friday, three private workers from Mangalhat area, Rahul, Hari Kiran and Amol, went to Mallannagutta hillock near a water tank and found 10 to12 boys aged between eight to 14 years playing cards.
The trio decided to teach them a lesson. The accused forced the boys to strip and hit them with a plastic pipe, Goshamahal ACP R Satish Kumar said. After the boys went home their parents asked them about the injury marks.
“We registered a case under sections 341 324, 506 of IPC and section 75 if JJ act,” ACP said. Accused were arrested on Tuesday. “There is no truth that one accused is linked to a political leader,” ACP said.
