19-year-old student pursuing BTech dies by suicide at Anantapur JNTU in Andhra Pradesh | Amaravati News
TIRUPATI: A 19-year-old student in Andhra Pradesh pursuing engineering at the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological university at Anantapur, died by suicide suicide at his hostel room on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Chanakya, a native of Udayagiri in SPSR Nellore district.
Chandra, who was in his second year B Tech course in electronics and communications engineering (ECE), was said to be a bright student having 9.8 GPA in his first year.
According to his hostel mates, Chanakya looked and behaved quite normally till he went to bed on Wednesday and some of his friends, who received a “bye” message from Chanakya at around 5.30 am on Thursday, were shocked to learn that it was his parting message before he ended life.
Local police reached the hostel and brought down Chanakya’s body and shifted to the government general hospital for autopsy and registered a case.
Police are enquiring around to ascertain the reasons behind Chanakya’s suicide and informed his parents regarding the unfortunate incident.
