15-year-old kills self over iPhone in Telangana | Hyderabad News
MULUGU: A 15-year-old boy allegedly committed suicide after his father denied buying him an iPhone. The incident took place at Palem Vagu project in Venkatapuram police station limits.
The deceased was P Sailikith, a resident of Pagalapally village, Mulugu.
Venkatapuram sub-inspector R Ashok said the boy gave the recently-concluded Class 10 examinations. He asked his parents to get him an iPhone, but when they turned down his demand, the boy allegedly threatened to end his life and left home. The parents did not take ultimatum seriously.
When the boy did not return home, they began searching from him. Villagers informed them about a body in Palem Vagu project. A case has been registered under section 174 Crpc (suspicious death).
