Union Budget has nothing for common man, says Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao | Hyderabad News

HYDERABAD: Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday said the Union Budget has come as a big disappointment for common man and has left them frustrated.
The CM termed it as a ‘golmaal budget’ in which the central government was slashing its own ailments, leaving the common man in a state of despair. “Zero measures have been taken by the Centre to support the agriculture sector in the country. This budget is a big zero for the farmers and agriculture sector of the country,” said KCR.
The budget presented by the BJP government is ‘useless’ it gives no direction and lacks punch in it. Even the budget speech read out by the Union finance minister was full of ambiguities and rhetorics, he said.
The budget is a big zero for even the handloom sector in the country. No action has been taken to support the weavers. “This budget has left the employees, working class and traders disappointed. It is unfortunate that the income tax slabs have remained unchanged. There were a lot of hopes among the employees, working class and other taxpayers that there would be favourable changes in the income tax slabs but the Centre has watered down their hopes,” CM KCR said.
He said the budget has exposed the Centre on the health sector too. “The health infrastructure is being developed elsewhere in the world in the aftermath of the Coronavirus pandemic. It is unfortunate that the Center did not show any interest to develop it,” he said.
The CM lamented that it was strange that the health of the people was not at all a priority for the central government.
