Telangana: TRS to counter BJP’s RTI salvo against CM KCR | Hyderabad News

HYDERABAD: After the Telangana BJP shot over 100 RTI applications seeking information pertaining to state government on various issues, including about chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao‘s salary and his visits, the TRS has decided to counter the saffron group in a similar fashion by seeking details of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and issues related to the central government.
While the party has identified some issues, more issues are being listed.
Information will be sought from the Prime Minister’s office (PMO), and Union ministries and their departments, TRS leaders said.
“Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay claimed that Modi stopped the war between Ukraine and Russia at a public meeting. We will seek how Modi stopped the warring countries. The TRS will also seek information under RTI on various subjects and issues,” TRS MLA A Jeevan Reddy said at a press conference on Wednesday.
As the BJP sought information on KCR’s visits to various states and expenditure, the TRS will also ask details on PM’s visits to other countries, expenditure, amount spent on the PM’s dresses and other details. Apart from this, why Modi went to Lahore and met the then PM of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif. the MLA said.
“The BJP wants details on promises made by TRS since June 2, 2014. The TRS would seek information on the status of the promises made in the AP Reorganization Act, 2014 . Similarly, GST arrears, status of turmeric board and borrowings of the Centre in the past eight years, what happened to the promise of depositing Rs 15 lakh in each of Jan Dhan accounts, and how the BJP was allowed to hold public meeting at Parade ground,” Jeevan Reddy said.
He said many BJP leaders visiting Bhagya Laxmi temple at Charminar. But the our party would like to know the contribution of the Centre and other state governments for the development of the temple under RTI.
The MLA said the TRS governance is transparent and open book anybody can seek the information which will be provided to the applicant.
