HYDERABAD: Telangana chief minister and TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao met Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren at his residence in Ranchi on Friday. KCR, left for Ranchi from Delhi on Friday morning concluding his four-day tour to the national capital.
KCR will hand over Rs 10 lakh compensation each to two families of Galwan martyrs as promised by his government after the Galwan clash in 2020. The Telangana government had announced the ex gratia to all the 19 Indian soldiers who were killed in the clash with Chinese forces.
Both the CMs are expected to discuss the proposed federal front with non-BJP and non-Congress parties. Sources recalled that Soren had met KCR in March 2018 at Pragati Bhavan here and supported the idea of federal front.
Along with KCR, state planning board vice chairman B Vinod Kumar, MP J Santosh Kumar, MLC Kavitha, Telangana chief secretary Somesh Kumar and other leaders and officers were present.
