Telangana: SLNSD cancels VIP break darshan at Yadadri temple on weekends | Hyderabad News
HYDERABAD: There will be no VIP break darshans on Saturdays, Sundays and government holidays in Telangana’s Yadadri temple.
The renovated Yadadri temple was inaugurated on March 28 at Yadagirigutta hillock, located 60 kilometres away from Hyderabad.
The officials of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Devasthanam (SLNSD) of Yadagirigutta, took a crucial decision on break darshans on Sunday, here, on the similar lines of Tirumala, which cancelled them from February 2022.
The executive officer of Yadagirigutta temple, N Geeta Reddy announced the decision on Sunday by releasing an official statement to the media.
“The decision has been taken to cancel VIP break darshans on Saturdays and Sundays, keeping in view unprecedented devotees’ crowds these days. Moreover, for the convenience of sarva darshan devotees on Saturdays and Sundays,” the statement read.
On Sunday, over 20,000 to 25,000 devotees visited Yadadri between 7am and 8pm where normally the footfall is high during the weekends.
On Sunday, the Yadadri temple has earned Rs 16.50 lakh, to be said the highest amount since inauguration of the temple, through sale of ‘laddu prasadam’ to the devotees.
“Overall, the temple’s collection on Sunday is Rs 31.45 lakh, which includes collections of different arjitha sevas and other rituals and donations,” according to an official release by the temple authorities.
TSRTC operated buses for the devotees from downhill to hillock and back, at free of cost.
