Telangana people will give VRS and not BRS to KCR-led TRS: Mahesh Kumar Goud | Hyderabad News
HYDERABAD: The Congress has said the people of Telangana will give Voluntary Retirement Scheme (VRS) to chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao-led ruling TRS in less than 12 months from now and sought to advise the ruling party leaders to stop dreaming about national politics by renaming the TRS as Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi (BRS).
Telangana Congress working president Mahesh Kumar Goud and senior vice-president Mallu Ravi on Wednesday accused CM KCR-led TRS government of feigning ire against Narendra Modi-led BJP government for its communal politics after supporting it to pass all the Bills and Acts in the Parliament in the last eight years.
The KCR-led TRS government has turned Telangana into a state marred with scams, corruption, irregularities and the youth becoming addicted to drugs and ganja, and encouraging youth to consume more liquor due to which the excise revenue has gone up to Rs 30,000 crore per annum.
How can CM KCR and TRS leaders even boast of their 21-year journey? While all sections of people participated in statehood movement and Congress-led government at the centre gave Telangana state, the last eight years of KCR-led TRS governance has seen rising unemployment, fee reimbursement and unemployment allowance being denied, an increase in suicides of farmers, number of daylight murders and cases of atrocities against women went up.
Dalits were not being given three acres land as promised by CM KCR, 2-bhk houses have remained a dream, state economy has plummeted into a debt trap, and KG to PG free education poll promise has remained on paper, alleged Mahesh Kumar Goud.
“The people of Telangana will never forgive CM KCR and TRS government for depriving the family members of Telangana martyrs the government jobs, financial assistance and due recognition. Over 1200 youth sacrificed their lives in statehood agitations but the KCR-government extended financial assistance to only 480 of them,” alleged Mahesh Kumar Goud.
Stating that only the assets and financial position of KCR-family and ruling TRS increased by hundreds of lakhs and crores of rupees, the TRS and BJP played a huge political drama over paddy procurement. “Will Pakistan, Bangladesh or Sri Lanka procure the paddy produced in Telangana. Is it not the responsibility of the state and central government to buy it,” asked Mahesh Kumar Goud.
