Telangana Women Congress president Sunitha Rao along with city wing chief Varalakshmi on Friday launched a helpline platform ‘STREE’ for the convenience of women in distress.

HYDERABAD: Telangana Women Congress president Sunitha Rao along with city wing chief Varalakshmi on Friday launched a helpline platform ‘STREE’ for the convenience of women in distress.
The women helpline number has been named as Support Team FOR Relief, Emergency and Empowerment (STREE) and those in need can call up on 1800-203-0589 for help, legal advice, medical help among other support.
The Telangana Congress‘s women’s wing and its frontal organisation members from 33 districts in the state would respond to the calls from women on this toll free number to extend their help.
