Telangana: Kamareddy collector Jitesh Patil’s child steals the show at Republic Day celebrations | Hyderabad News
Patil lovingly carried his child in his arms as he addressed a gathering on the occasion. For the gathering, that was more than one message that was getting into their system.
The collector spoke about the sacrifices that a generation of people had made to achieve independence for the country and how it had to be remembered. “We, as officials, may be respected because of the position that we are in, but it should not slip out of our minds that we are here enjoying the fruits of independence as a result of the sacrifices made by many to achieve freedom for the country,” he said.
As Jitesh Patil, a 2016-batch IAS officer briefly addressed the gathering, his child who he was carrying on his left arm was the cynosure of all eyes. Patil was not rattled as she tried to touch the microphone that he was holding in his right hand. She did it a few times and as engrossed as he was in talking, the gentle father saw to it that his dear one did not succeed in snatching the mic from his hands. She was more playfully touching the mic rather than making an attempt to take it away from his hands.
Prior to being posted as collector of Kamareddy last year, Jitesh Patil was municipal commissioner of Telangana’s Nizamabad.
