Telangana: Kalvakuntla Kavitha denies her role in framing Delhi liquor policy | Hyderabad News

HYDERABAD: Member of legislative council and daughter of K Chandrasekhar Rao, Kalvakuntla Kavitha, denied allegations of her role in framing liquor policy in Delhi and financial irregularities. She said since all the investigating agencies are in the hands of the Centre, the BJP government can investigate her role and she would be completely cooperative with them.

“Allegations are being made against me because I am daughter of TRS supremo and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao as he has been critical about the BJP government at the Centre. They are totally baseless, allegations will certainly remain allegations,” the former MP told the media on Monday.
On Sunday, some BJP leaders alleged her involvement in framing liquor policy in Delhi involving Delhi deputy CM Manish Sisodia and she even attended some meetings with liquor contractors from South in star hotels.

Denying allegations, Kavitha said, she would be filing defamation suit against BJP MP Parvesh Varma and former MLA Manjinder Singh Sirsa for making corruption allegations against her. She also said she would also move court seeking an injunction order against those making the allegations.
Kavitha said since KCR has been vocal against the BJP, they are trying to target us and KCR would rattle with such allegations on his family. “But we will continue to question the BJP on every issue which is anti-people and issues like Bilkis Bano,” she said.

Stating that they are the family (KCR) of fighters who fought for the separate statehood for Telangana and were on the streets and were with people, Kavitha said they would never give up fighting on BJP.
