Telangana govt shuffles 29 IPS officers, additional role for CV Anand | Hyderabad News

HYDERABAD: The state government on Tuesday night reshuffled 29 IPS officers and gave them new postings. Hyderabad and Cyberabad police chiefs have been given additional responsibilities, while IPS officer Shahnawaz Qasim has been moved out of the minorities welfare.
Additional director-general (ADG) (organisation) Rajiv Ratan has been transferred and posted as managing director, Telangana State Police Housing Corporation. Hyderabad police commissioner CV Anand has been give full additional charge (FAC) of the newly-created post of additional director-general, Telangana State Anti Narcotics Bureau.
Cyberabad commissioner of police M Stephen Raveendra has been given FAC of the newly-created post of Inspector General of Police, Telangana State Cyber Security Bureau.
Shahnawaz Qasim, director, Minorities Welfare, who had a running feud with Telangana Waqf Board chief, has been transferred and posted as Inspector General of Police, Multizone-II.
ADG Railways and Road Safety Sandeep Shandilya has been transferred as director, Telangana State Police Academy. ADG (Operations) K Sreenivasa Reddy was transferred as ADG Organization & Legal.
ADG TSSP Battalions Abhilasha Bisht was named as ADG Welfare and Sports. She will also hold FAC of the post of ADG Home Guards.
ACB director Shikha Goel has been named ADG Women Safety, SHE Teams & Bharosa, replacing Swati Lakra, who has been posted as ADG TSSP Battalions. VV Srinivasa Rao, chairman, Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board (TSLPRB) has been given FAC of the post of ADG, Police Computer Services.
Vijay Kumar, who was waiting for posting, has been named ADG (Operations), Greyhounds & OCTOPUS, while ADG, North Zone, Y Nagi Reddy has been posted as director-general, Telangana State Disaster Response & Fire Services. Vikram Singh Mann, also waiting for posting, has been named additional commissioner of Police, L&O, Hyderabad.
