Telangana: Congress holds statewide protest against price rise | Hyderabad News

HYDERABAD: The Congress leader and cadres on Tuesday staged dharnas at various places in the state in protest against the BJP government increasing the prices of petrol, diesel, cooking gas and essential commodities, and the TRS government hiking the electricity tariff and RTC bus ticket fares.
During the protests, the Congress members raised slogans against the Narendra Modi-led BJP government at the centre and KCR-led TRS government in the state of burdening the people with price rise when they were yet to receiver from the financial loses inflicted by the Coronavirus pandemics and its related lockdowns.
The Congress leaders demanded that the Central and state governments immediately roll back the prices of cooking gas, diesel, petrol, electricity and bus charges respectively.
Telangana Congress working presidents J Geetha Reddy and Anjan Kumar Yadav among other top leaders of the party said the prices of even the medicines and other products in various sectors have increased due to the inefficient handling of the economy by the Modi-government and KCR-governments respectively.
