Telangana clocks 151 new Covid-19 cases | Hyderabad News
HYDERABAD: Telangana recorded 151 new cases of Covid-19 on Saturday, even as new cases in 30 districts were recorded. The number of active cases stood at 1,293. Of the new cases, 61 were recorded in Hyderabad district while 10 were recorded in Medchal Malkajgiri and 11 in Ranga Reddy.
The total number of cases so far in the state stood at 8,34,965. Total recoveries stood at 8,29,665 with 255 recoveries on Saturday. The current positivity rate is 1%, while the recovery rate stands at 99.37. The death toll stands at 4,111, as no new deaths was recorded.
On Saturday, a total of 12,247 samples were tested. Telangana has now completed testing 3.74 crore samples and has reached 10.04 lakh sample testing per million population.
Meanwhile, in view of the surge in cases, children less than 10 years of age, elders above 60 years of age and people with comorbid conditions have been asked to stay indoors. “It is important to complete vaccination by taking both doses and it is also equally important to adhere to precautions against Covid, including wearing a face mask and maintain physical distance,” advised the health department.
