HYDERABAD: The new vehicles are of Toyota make. CM will only travel in mine-proof Prado vehicles and there will be others SUVs, which will be bullet proof used by his security personnel and other staff
Telangana Intelligence Security Wing (ISW) sleuths has bought 10 new SUVs for the security requirement of VIPs. Few of these SUVs might be included in Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s convoy too.
Officials said that 10 vehicles were ordered in a routine schedule since they were due for replacement. The existing 10 vehicles travelled one and half lakh kilometres, after which a vehicle is supposed to be replaced.
“New vehicles were bought keeping in view the VIPs, who are to be protected,” sources in intelligence said. In the last 8 years, Chief Minister’s fleet was reportedly replaced on two occasions, for his travel in the state.
The newly bought vehicles are from car maker Toyota.
