Task force arrests most wanted smuggler brothers in Andhra Pradesh | Amaravati News
TIRUPATI: The red sanders anti smuggling task force arrested two most wanted smugglers who are siblings and recovered 31 red sanders logs, six mobile phones and a car from the possession of the accused on Thursday.
Task force SP K Chakravarthi told reporters during a press conference held in Tirupati on Thursday, that the accused identified as Sheik Champati Lal Basha (36) and Sheik Zakeer, residents of Chapadu mandal headquarters in YSR district, were notorious interstate smugglers who are wanted in connection with 89 smuggling cases.
Special task force teams who kept a vigil on the movements of the smuggler brothers, arrested them near a private factory in the city outskirts and confiscated the red sanders logs which they were trying to smuggle away.
Task force SP appreciated the efforts put in by CI Ramakrishna and RI Chiranjeevulu in arrested the most wanted smugglers tactfully.
