Stray Kids, BTS Jungkook, SEVENTEEN Bag Top Honours

The 2024 Billboard Music Awards lit up Los Angeles on Thursday night. The event celebrated the biggest names in the global music industry. K-pop artists, as expected, made a significant impact, bringing home some major wins. Among them, BTS’ Jungkook stood out, even though he could not attend the ceremony due to his mandatory military enlistment. The superstar bagged two top awards, proving his unmatched global appeal. Jungkook won Top K-Pop Album for his record-breaking album GOLDEN and Top K-Pop Global Song for his hit track Standing Next To You. 

In the Top K-Pop Album category, Jungkook faced tough competition from ATEEZ (THE WORLD EP. FIN: WILL), Stray Kids (ROCK-STAR and ATE) and TOMORROW X TOGETHER (The Name Chapter: FREEFALL). For the Top K-Pop Global Song award, he triumphed over ILLIT (Magnetic), Jimin (Who) and LE SSERAFIM (Perfect Night). Notably, Jungkook’s track 3D featuring Jack Harlow was also nominated in the same category.

The 2024 Billboard Music Awards also acknowledged the talent of SEVENTEEN and Stray Kids in the K-pop scene. Both groups added to the excitement of the evening by securing significant wins in their respective categories. SEVENTEEN took home the award for Top K-Pop Touring Artist, beating strong contenders like ENHYPEN and TOMORROW X TOGETHER. Meanwhile, Stray Kids claimed the title of Top Global K-Pop Artist, surpassing tough competition from ENHYPEN, Jimin, Jungkook and TOMORROW X TOGETHER. 

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift created history at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards with a jaw-dropping achievement. The pop icon walked away with an impressive 10 awards, solidifying her position as one of the greatest artists of all time. Her wins include major categories like Top Artist, Top Female Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist, Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Hot 100 Songwriter, Top Streaming Songs Artist, Top Radio Songs Artist, Top Billboard Global (Excl. U.S.) Artist and Top Billboard 200 Album. It is safe to say Taylor absolutely dominated the evening.
