Never Counted In The Top 10 Actors
New Delhi:
Shilpa Shetty, who completes 30 years in the Hindi film industry this year, revisited her journey and summed it up in apt words. The actor said in her recent interview that she doesn’t live in the past. The actor also said that she has been doing well professionally despite the fact that she has never been counted among the top ten actors. Speaking to ETimes, Shilpa told the publication, “I feel there is poetic justice in life, always. I was never in the top 10 actors (list). I may have received a lot of love and adulation but never counted in the top 10 actors – maybe lack of opportunity, or what I don’t know. Today look at me I am doing the biggest series, I have just finished filming a movie, I am doing a multilingual movie, I have nothing to complain about today. We all have our journey, I have carved a niche on TV, my brands are doing well.”
Shilpa is also a working mother. Her two children have started going to schools and the actor is having hectic days balancing between work and family. Speaking about her kids, she told ETimes, “Both my kids have started going to school. My days are getting pretty hectic with the kids growing up. I am trying to fit most of the things in a day.” She added, “It is anything but exciting. It is a lot of work. I am overworked and underpaid.”
Shilpa posts about her kids on social media at regular basis. On Raksha Bandhan, she shared adorable pictures of her two kids – Viaan and Samisha. The siblings twin in yellow. Shilpa wrote in the caption, “aj mahurat late hai. Magar yeh rishta great hai. Happy Raksha Bandhan to everyone celebrating.”
