Jamuna Death News: Veteran actress Jamuna passes away at 86 | Hyderabad News
HYDERABAD: Veteran actress Jamuna passed away at her residence in Hyderabad on Friday. She was 86.
As a heroine, Jamuna acted in Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam. It was with ‘Missamma’ released in 1955 that Jamuna got noticed. The film was made by L V Prasad.
Jamuna also forayed into politics and was elected MP from Rajahmundry constituency in the 1989 elections.

Some of her well-known films include ‘Puttillu’ made in 1952, ‘Tenali Ramakrishna’, ‘Ma Inti Mahalakshmi’, ‘Gundamma Katha’, ‘Collector Janaki’, ‘Sri Krishna Tulabaram’ and ‘Poolarangadu’.
The body is expected to be brought to the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce for the film industry to pay its respects.
