Inspector arrested in cheating case in Hyderabad | Hyderabad News

HYDERABAD: Five days after a cheating case was registered against Amberpet inspector P Sudhakar by Vanasthalipuram police, he was arrested on Friday.
He was arrested on a complaint given by a Non Resident Indian (NRI) in connection with a transaction regarding an independent house. “Vanasthalipuram police of Rachakonda Commissionerate arrested Sudhakar Station House Officer (SHO), Amberpet, for his involvement in a land cheating case.
Commissioner of Police Hyderabad suspended Sudhakar,” Hyderabad police said. The inspector had sold his 135 sq yards house to one Rajesh, who paid him `45 lakh to clear the housing loan, police said.
But later, complainant NRI Vijayath Goud alleged that it was his money that Rajesh had used to pay the inspector. Goud further said that it was Sudhakar who introduced Rajesh to him. An allegation denied by Sudhakar.
